Camaraderie – Session 3 – RAC Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo

Camaraderie Session 3 was held on 22nd of October 2017, at the Royal College Skills Centre in Colombo 7 with the participation of Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa and Rotaract Club of Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.

Camaraderie is the Monthly General Meeting held by Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa with another Rotaract Club as a joint meeting, instead of having a traditional meeting to improve mutual trust and friendship among Rotaractors.

The meeting commenced at 1:00 pm after Rtr. Himantha Alahakoon, President of Rotaract Alumni Mora called the meeting to order. After the formalities were done, the project chairpersons gave away brief updates on completed projects. Some of those projects were “Cleanse-D” & “Seconds to Disaster” by Rotaract Alumni Mora and “Kingspin” & “Live a Little – Love a Little” by Rotaract Club of FMF. As for the ongoing projects, “Share the Joy” & “Ganga Addara” by Rotaract Alumni Mora and “Glass Ice” & “Boss” by Rotaract Club of FMF were mentioned. Then after conveying the messages sent by the Rotaract District, the joint meeting concluded after the National Anthem.

Rtr Manahari invited the members for the interactive session, where members had to group up and act according to the comperes’ instructions. The team that innovated and settled down quickly according to the said instructions was adjudged winners, improving fellowship and teamwork of club members.

Then the Project “Together as One – Phase 1 – Session 3 was conducted in the form of a panel discussion, focusing on the beauty of diversity.

After that, members of both clubs left for the project Share the Joy 1.0. This project invites the club members who celebrate birthdays in a given quarter of the year to organize a community service project, in order to spend the birthday in a worthy manner and share the joy with someone else. This project was held at Vajira Sri Children’s Development Center in Kotte and the members spent a fun-filled evening with the children.
