The traditional General Meetings have taken the next wave now. The project ‘Camaraderie’ turned them into a much effective platform to network with fellow Rotaractors by opening doors to a series of joint meetings.
For the seventh session of Camaraderie, Rotaract Club of Faculty of Law, University of Colombo joined hands with us. It was decided that it would not be just a joint meeting, but there would a joint project between the two clubs as well. ‘Share the joy 3.0’ was the short-term outcome of that ‘Camaraderie’, while the fellowship triumph in the long run. The club members worked together for the project execution prior to the meeting, building trust and teamwork. With all the preparations in hand & anticipation in hearts, both clubs’ members stepped-in to share the joy with a bunch of glittering little stars living in Pilapitiya Childcare Centre, on 24th February 2018.
After the successful completion of the project, the members gathered for the General Meeting. It was wonderful that, without any need of a typical ice breaking session, both clubs knew their partners, their likes-dislikes, and talents. Following the general meeting formalities, project briefings and important matters were discussed. Sharing updates with the fellow club & listening to theirs, refreshed the spirit of Rotaract in members. In this way, both the meeting and the project ‘Share the Joy’ concluded, inflating a true sense of camaraderie.
