The Beginning of a New Era…

The new journey of the Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa for the Rotaract year 2019/20, began on that day, 22nd June 2019, and we call it ‘Our Photo Day’.

“It’s a new world,

It’s a new start,

It’s alive with the beating of young hearts…”

The President for the year 2019/20, Rtr. Hasitha Prashan and his Board of Directors indeed have the spirit of young hearts, who share the same passion to make this world a better place. The team consists of many experienced past Rotaractors, also with new faces to the Rotaract movement who are willing to lend their helping hand despite their busy lives as working graduates.

The ‘Photo Day’ is the very first event for the team as the new Directors of the club, where their photographs were taken for the 7th Installation Ceremony. The ladies were shining in green coloured tops – their theme colour for the year, while the gentlemen highlighted it with a green tie. The session started around 11 in the morning with the beautiful nature the Sunny weather and smoothly went until the rain started to disturb them. However, these people do not easily get discouraged, hence the latter session was held under a roof where the rain couldn’t bother them.

After taking the individual and group photographs, a small video was also made to wish the Rotaract Golden Jubilee this year. Then the session was wrapped up with a wonderful lunch treat from the new president, Rtr. Hasitha Prashan for his board of directors, where they talked about new ideas, plans and many more to make an exemplary Rotaract year.

I, as the Co-Editor of the board, wish the new blood of the Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa the best of luck for the coming year. Let’s strive to save the earth together, as proud Rotaractors.
