Our Mission

Our Mission

As we journey towards the completion of our vision, prior to reaching out to the communities at large, it is important that the concept of building and maintaining international relationships is grasped. In order to achieve the stated, it is of utmost importance that cultural sensitivity is inculcated amongst us Rotaractors. It is also essential that we acknowledge and regard the fact that every community consists of various beliefs and value systems. On accomplishing the above, we will head towards building sustainable friendships across borders and we will also be sensitive towards the various needs of these communities whilst we lend a hand to ensure we prosper together.
Our Vision

Our Vision

To reach out across physical boundaries around the globe with the aim of expanding our scope of connectivity. We aim at inspiring people across communities while using International Services as a base to commence projects on Community Service, Professional Development, Co- existence, etc. in an international arena.
Stronger Together
The war in Ukraine 🇺🇦 has had a devastating impact on the country. People have been forced to move out of their homelands to seek refuge in neighboring countries. Romania being a country sharing the southern border of Ukraine has had thousands of such refugees coming in each day during the past few months.

Considering this unfortunate situation faced by Ukrainians, the Rotaract club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (RID 3220), initiated the project Stronger Together along with the Rotaract T.E.A.M. Baia Mare Romania (RID 2241) to raise funds to donate some basic necessities such as blankets, towels and disposable tableware that were required to help support the refugees in Romania.

The donation made was received at the Social Depot, Bia Maria, Romania on the 9th of June 2022 marking the successful conclusion of the project.
